Westguard

As the name implies, the Westguard shields the western regions of the Highmark  - it had been doing so for centuries - and as such, it hardly ever knew peace. Whether it's the beasts of the surrounding mountains or vile creatures of the sea, the Westguard held strong.

The county had been ruled by many through the ages, some caring for it more than others, until it ended up in the hands of the Soul Carrier, and thus became the new home of the Shaikan. It may bear the scars of countless battles, and it is unlikely that it will ever know true peace, but it still shines as a beacon of hope for those who need it, and it keeps its gates open to anyone seeking to start anew.
