Shal'Dun

During the days of old, back when the Dark Races first reached Urgath, Shal Dun was the bastion and centre of power of the Dark Elves - but those days have long since passed. Today, Shal Dun is in its most divisive state yet, with the adepts of Nor and the Crimson Empire tirelessly wrestling for supremacy inside the city. This may make them more susceptible to foes, but nevertheless, one should weigh their options well before daring to battle the Norcaine.

After the Convocation, the city had been swallowed by an emerging volcano erupting inside its wall. Some Norcaine - calling themselves the Crimson Empire - took this as a sign of Zarach, and have chosen to devote their lives to him. This sparked an ongoing conflict in Shal Dun, and though the Crimson Empire currently has the upper hand, it is uncertain when peace might return to the Burning City at least.
