The slithering pathways and dark caverns of the Black Jungle on Xu have been the end of many who have tried to explore them - the Gorge well and truly embodies that notion. Death lurks around every corner, luring many in with the promise of riches and power, only to deliver them hopelessness and despair. The path to Zarach's Bone Temple is evil in its purest form, making all who venture to the Gorge understand why it is here that the Gods have no power.
The Rune Wars did little to change that, with the remains of Hokan's devilish Blades still stuck in the mud and sand below your feet. The commotion had stirred up many of the native inhabitants of this region, and just as the tales of old have told, they do little but crave violence and blood.
